The Opportunity

At risk3sixty, each team member is equipped with exceptional benefits and support to be a security craftsman for our clients. Since the beginning of 2020, risk3sixty started serving not only our clients but also those in need in our community! You can read about our last service opportunity here.

Due to the risk of COVID-19, risk3sixty’s efforts were delayed, but we were given another opportunity to serve later in the year with Habitat for Humanity!

On November 7th, 2020, risk3sixty partnered up with Habitat for Humanity North Central Georgia to serve a Vietnam War veteran in Woodstock, Georgia. Our project was to paint the exterior of the veteran’s home to beautify and repair any damage taken from the latest natural disasters.

The Service

Our project started at 8:30 a.m. and was wrapped up by 3:00 p.m. Thanks to the supplies and guidance from the Habitat for Humanity team, our team was able to paint the whole house from top to bottom in one day!

Here are some photos of the Strange Renegades in action during the service event:

Phillip Lee, Christian White, and Tim Palmer worked together to help the project leader set up ladders to paint from the roof.

Asher Painting

Asher Andree challenged himself to get on the roof and painted the tough spots of the house.

Phillip Lee

Phillip Lee ensured every spot was painted even the spots behind the gutter.

Conclusion

Painting is tough work and requires close attention to detail, but risk3sixty was able to take on the challenge and serve one of our veterans. This opportunity was a great reminder to appreciate what we have taken for granted and to continue serving those who served us in the past!

Here are some takeaways from our team members on this opportunity:

“It was a really great event to spend time in the community with our team all while assisting a great cause.” – Asher Andree, Analyst at risk3sixty

“I had a great time getting to serve a Vietnam veteran alongside my fellow Strange Renegades! I was once again reminded of the effectiveness of teamwork when undertaking a new challenge.” – Phillip Lee, Analyst at risk3sixty

“Working as a team to better the lives of a family in need is a blessing to all of those involved in the process – thanks to Habitat for Humanity for the opportunity to contribute!” – Christian White, Managing Director at risk3sixty
